Full Bee Suit & Gloves Provided

A sweet introduction into the wonderful world of Bees & Bee Keeping.  Put on your Bee Suit, slip on your gloves. Join an experienced local Bee Keeper to open and work an active Hive.  Hold a frame covered in 100's of busy bees. Discover the inner workings of these amazing colonies, and their importance to our global food chain. 

TOUR 1 

BE-A-BEEKEEPER

Time : 2.00pm Daily from October to April - weather dependent. Runs with minimum 2 persons.

Cost : Adults: $79 Child (under 15) $59 

Duration : 60-70 Minutes

We Provide : Bee Suits & Gloves

You Bring :  Sturdy closed toe footwear and socks. Cooler days > long pants and a long sleeved top recommended.  Hot days > shorts and t-shirt. You are welcome to bring your Mobile Phone or Camera.
Run daily at 2.00pm, but can be run at other times for groups or private bookings, please contact Nick or Rosie, 021942808 or cafe@buzzstop.co.nz if you would like to know more about this amazing, hands-on experience. Runs with minimum two persons.


TOUR 2 

COMBO HONEY SPINNING AND BEE KEEPING

Time : Approx, 2.00pm to 3.30pm Daily from October to April - Weather Dependent. Runs with minimum 2 persons.

Cost : Adults: $89, Child (under 15) $69 Family (2+2)  Includes fresh jar of honey each featuring your own personalised Honey Label, valued at $15.

Duration : 90 Minutes

We Provide : Bee Suit & Gloves

You Bring :  Sturdy closed toe footwear and socks. Cooler days > long pants and a long sleeved top recommended.  Hot days > shorts and t-shirt. You are welcome to bring your Mobile Phone or Camera.

Pop on your Bee Suit and Gloves, open a working a Beehive and remove a frame of fresh honey straight from the hive. Discover the inner workings of a bee colony, and hold a frame covered in busy bees.

Then return to base with your frame of honey, and uncap, spin, filter and bottle your own fresh honey to take home - literally straight out of the hive. Includes jar of fresh honey each, including a personalised honey label.
